Notice the Action Menu
What exactly is on this menu depends on the context of the page you're on, but two of the handiest are at the top of every thread. If you bookmark a thread you'll get a new link in the top navigation bar. This will take you to your bookmarks page, which is like making your own board where only the threads you care about appear. You can also find thread labels here.
Pimp Out Your Profile
Status Message
Consider adding a status message to your profile. This appears both on the profile you see when you click on your name and also your mini-profile - the one next to your posts. A good place to throw in a quote or something!
These options are found at the bottom of the 'Personal' tab when you're editing your profile. |
Custom Color
This is the color for the circle around your avatar and the Character Info and Player Info headers. To get it to work, make sure that you're using the # symbol if you're using a hex color. Any of the colors you can use by name as a text color also work here (don't use a #). If you can't get it to work, leave what you're trying to do in the box and send me an SOS and I'll take a look at what you're doing and fix it for you. You don't need to use a color from the Speech Colors post because I put in a code that will automatically make it so the text color will be black or white depending on what you picked - any color works!
Profile Link & Plot Tracker Link
Just copy/paste the links to your character's profile and plot tracker here and make it easy for you or anyone else to go look at those.
Player Name
To help people know who plays what, put a name here if you want. Doesn't have to be your real name, just the name you use when you're being you and not your character.
Discord Username
To help people find you on Discord. For privacy, this doesn't appear on your mini-profile (which is next to your posts) but your full profile (the profile they see when they click on your name) because only members can see that.
Why is My Avatar Blurry?
This is probably because if you upload an image to ProBoards for your avatar, they'll automatically shrink it to 150x150 because that's the standard avatar size. The avatars here, however, are 250x250. So an uploaded avatar will be shrunken and then stretched, which makes it blurry. Instead, upload your avatar image to an image service like Imgur, and link it over so that it will appear in its full glory.
