	0 posts in 0 threads Park Row & The Bowery When Park Row was first built, the many tall apartment buildings were seen as upscale and new - and within walking distance of Amusement Mile and The Bowery to sweeten the pot. But years of neglect have left them rundown, their lights dim, and the streets full of crime. It vies with The Bowery for the title of the most dangerous neighborhood in Gotham. It's a cheap place to live, but that's really the only thing going for it. The story of the Bowery is similar - with its numerous balconies and walkways that were meant to encourage foot traffic within the district, what once was a thriving shopping hub is now full of seedy businesses with barred windows, if they're managing to remain open at all. 	14 posts in 2 threads The Stacked Deck A nightclub that manages to function in spite of its location - partly because its owners know the value of employing many very capable bouncers, but mostly because it tends to attract the sort of clientele that more petty criminals are afraid to mess with. There's a lot of money to be made in Gotham if you don't pay any attention to who is giving it to you... One does not rob a mob boss's favorite place to play cards, and some of the faces that have been seen around here lately are even scarier than that. Uptown

The northernmost of the three large islands that make up the core of Gotham City. Over a century ago, when the city was far younger, this was planned to be an upscale and pleasant borough that would attract money and entertainment. The northern peninsula of the island is home to Amusement Mile, and the center of the island is dominated by Gotham Stadium - a large, multi-purpose indoor sports arena. But decades of mismanagement and neglect have gradually turned this part of the city into a rundown and crime-ridden area. Some neighborhoods are still safe enough if you keep your head down and your door locked, but Park Row - sometimes referred to as Crime Alley - and The Bowery are quite possibly the most dangerous parts of the city.
