It was a steady, but relaxed crowd at the House tonight. It had only been open a short time, but people seemed to take to it kindly. It was very different than most other bars and clubs in Gotham. Many bars in Gotham catered to the people of Gotham, understandably, and this one did, too, but not in the ways they were quite used to. It was a dive bar style place. One story, bar toward the back, tables and chairs surrounding a modestly sized dance floor, pool tables, dart boards, the typical South Western dive bar. That was the trick, it was not like Gotham dive bars at all, while it had many things in common with the others, as noted before, it still had a very different vibe and charm to it. Typically the music playing was a mix of classic rock, classic country and other genres that fell, mostly, between those two. there was a large mural of the Texas flag with blue bonnets and yellow roses at its corners. Many of the neon signs for the major and not so major brands of beer also seemed to have a Texas theme to them.
The place, of course, was a hit with those few who have transplanted from Texas to Gotham, like the owner, but even normal Gotham locals were appreciating the laid back, chill attitude the space seemed to exude. There was a man behind the bar, tending for most of the evening so far, but there was a woman who occasionally took some orders, assisting the bar tender. After just moments of talking to her it was clear she was the owner because her accent was certainly thicker than that of the bartender and the bouncer. Right now it was fairly active, but in a few short hours, here on a Thursday night, it was going to steadily get busier. They had not been around long enough to quite have true regulars yet, but there were certainly a few that had been coming by fairly consistently in the past month or so.
The woman doing the other half of the bartending was lovely, blonde, one eyed, and seemed to be well liked by the patrons. She told them jokes, stories, and other sassy things as they sat at the bar and ordered drinks. She looked to a man who began to approach the bar, smiling to him, warmly.
"What can I get you, sug?"

The man stuck out like a sore thumb, the six thousand dollar custom suit gave away the fact that this wasn't his normal type of establishment. Perhaps he was a highly successful lawyer that liked to pick up pretty women new to town. Whatever it was he had an obvious air of confidence surrounding him. His slicked-back hair was jet-black and his dark brown eyes were full of determination. The establishment had quite a few patrons at the moment, it was Thursday night so it would be assumed that the establishment would simply get busy as the night progressed. This bar appeared almost out of nowhere, it hadn't been open too long so there weren't regulars but it seemed to be popular enough, even earning a few mentions in the Gotham Gazette after recently opening. It was almost smack dab in the Down Town area of Gotham City, which already had its fair share of clubs and bars, none of them were quite as unique as this one, though.
"Scotch, old fashioned" His accent was barely noticeable, the trained ear could discern that he lived on the east coast his entire life and had Italian heritage, though that could also be discerned simply by looking at his hair and other features. The drink was served and he took a sip while looking into his glass. "Maybe I should be the one welcoming you." A smile curled on his face as he continued nursing his drink. "How are you finding our fair city thus far?" This man had a pretty good eye of who was new in this city and who wasn't. Gothamites that have lived in this city all their lives have a different air about them, this woman was different. Of course, it was the accent, but the way she carried herself and the theme of the bar she opened were all indications that she was not from Gotham.
He listened to her answers and finished his drink. "Another please." A few more people have entered after him but were helped by the other bartender that was present.
"You've done well with this place so far." He raised his glass. "Salud" He smiled warmly before stepping away from the bar. "It seems like this place is getting pretty active, I'll leave you to it. " He smiled warmly once more, not trying to bother the owner too much. The manner in which he carried himself was very formal and polite, the man would pick a booth at the corner of the club and sat down.
